Liberian President suspends son

Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf suspended 46
government officials, including
her son, due to failure to declare
their assets. Charles Sirleaf, son of the
president and deputy governor of
the Central Bank, and David
Anderson, chief of protocol at
the executive mansion, are
among those suspended. "The suspension will remain in
force until President Sirleaf
receives confirmation from the
Liberia Anti-Corruption
Commission that they have met
the assets declaration requirements" President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf said.
